Truck types can be divided with a length of 3500mm or less and a total mass of 1800kg or less, but excluding

three wheeled vehicles and low-speed trucks.

There are three types of trucks: light, medium and heavy. Classification methods and standards vary from

country to country. China is classified according to the vehicle load capacity. Light trucks are with a load

capacity of less than 3.5 tons, medium trucks with a load capacity of 4 ~ 8 tons and heavy trucks with a load

capacity of more than 8 tons.
